Coralie Flatters has been appointed state manager of National Disability Services WA. Ms Flatters has previously worked in the disability and mental health sectors. Most recently, she worked as the senior policy adviser health and community at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia. She had also worked for the WA Primary Health Alliance and the WA Association of Mental Health.
John Chappell will be the chief executive of Scitech. Dr Chappell started his career in the resources sector, working for Alcoa and BHP. In 2011, he joined the Australian Institute of Marine Science and became chief operating officer of the organisation in 2018. He will replace interim chief executive Sam Kronja who has led Scitech since Kalien Selby stepped down in June 2021.
Bunbury-based Forrest Personnel has hired Lynne Harwood as its new chief executive. Ms Harwood has more than 20 years’ experience as a chief executive in the community and disability sectors. Most recently, she was chief executive at Mosaic Support Services in Tasmania, and prior to that she was chief executive of Gowrie in NSW.
Curtin University’s School of Media, Creative Arts and Social Inquiry has appointed Fremantle Press chief executive Jane Fraser as chair of its new advisory board. The board comprises: Indian Pacific Pictures chief executive Ian Booth; John Curtin College of the Arts principal Mitchell Mackay; The Blue Room Theatre executive director Katt Osborne; Performing Lines WA senior producer Jeremy Smith; and Carbon Neutral customer engagement and relations manager Pauna Truong.
