Christian Miocevich has been appointed to the bench of the District Court of Western Australia. Mr Miocevich has experience in criminal law, including 15 years with the Aboriginal Legal Service of Western Australia. In 2009, he established a sole practice and, in 2012, a partnership called C&G Miocevich. He was appointed magistrate of the Magistrate’s Court of Western Australia in September 2018.
Penelope Ford will be a construction and projects disputes partner in Hall & Wilcox’s Perth office. Prior to that, she was a partner of Norton Rose Fulbright for over 3 years and a special counsel of Minter Ellison. She has experience in resource and infrastructure dispute work, commercial contract and property disputes, significant insurance litigation and advice work, as well as partnership and director disputes.
Brad Wearn is joining The Perth Mint as chief information officer. Mr Wearn has previously held chief information officer roles at BHP and South32. Most recently, he has worked as a consultant at Churchill Consulting.
