Agencies on the buses

THE Department of Transport has shortlisted three advertising agencies following presentations to the Transperth evaluation panel for their advertising contract.

Core Marketing Group, Marketforce and John Davis Advertising have all been shortlisted ahead of the final decision, which is expected to be made by the end of this week.

“We don’t have a tender at the moment, so it’s exciting to formalise it, it just makes it more cohesive,” Transperth marketing manager Louise Cummings said.

The tender document allows for the Department of Transport to award the contract to a single agency, multiple agencies or no agency at all.

John Davis Advertising currently handles all the creative work for the Transperth advertising account and the Shorter Group have completed environ-mental design work for the government client in the past.

The account has been valued at $3 million, however that figure includes all the non-campaign work.

It is understood Transperth will make a decision by the end of the week, however no announcement will be made until a later date when all the paper work has been finalised.
