Success and Leadership breakfast with Dr Amanda Healy

Launched in 2002, Success and Leadership is a series of breakfast events that showcases leaders from organisations with a Western Australian business and community footprint. Success and Leadership offers a captive business audience a fresh perspective of the speaker's leadership journey as well as other topical company and community developments.

The events are usually held as a breakfast and as a 45 minute moderated in-conversation, including attendee questions using an audience interactive platform.

Leading through impact

Dr Amanda Healy has over 35 years’ experience in the mining industry across Australia and Canada, working with major operators including BHP, Rio Tinto and WMC with extensive experience across operations, safety, training, human resources, and logistics.

A proud Wonnarua woman, Amanda founded her first engineering business in the Pilbara in 2003, establishing Maxx Engineering, which she later registered as an Indigenous-owned business before selling to global engineering firm ThyssenKrupp in 2015. She has since gone on to establish Warrikal, a Perth-based maintenance and construction company, where she now serves as Chair of the Board of the majority Indigenous-owned and operated business, recognised for delivering exceptional client outcomes while actively supporting Aboriginal engagement in the mining sector.

Amanda also serves on the boards of the Waalitj Foundation, the founding board of the WA Social Enterprise Council, Enterprise Learning Projects / Impact North, and St John Ambulance WA, with a strong focus on advancing Indigenous participation and sustainable business practices. In recognition of her contribution to business in Western Australia, Amanda was inducted into the WA Women’s Hall of Fame in 2022.

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from one of Indigenous business’s true pioneers in a sharp, insightful conversation on leadership, innovation, and building enduring success.
