Perth-based explorer Emu NL is poised to drill a network of clay-filled, rare earths-prospective channels up to 6km wide and down to 100m in depth at its wholly-owned Condingup project near Esperance on Western Australia's picturesque south coast. Outcropping source rocks proved fertile and the company plans to drill its clays in September, with assays due in October.

Emu NL has added a fourth rare earths discovery to its growing portfolio after rock-chip samples at its Merredin project complemented historic assay results of up to 1405 parts per million total rare earths oxide. The results backed up a review of the Geological Survey of Western Australia's public hard-rock geochemical data that showed several assays with elevated rare earths values.

ASX-listed Emu NL has confirmed “outstanding” rare earths at its Graceland project near Lake Grace after its maiden drill campaign at the site returned results of up to 960 parts per million TREO. It completed an eight-hole RC drill campaign at the operation in January, with highlights showing a 32m intercept at 716.75ppm TREO from 32m, including 4m grading an impressive 960.66ppm TREO from 32m.

Emu NL has discovered a new rare earths region in WA's Great Southern town of Jerramungup, 450km south-east of Perth. Emu has revealed significant mineralisation from 20m to 52m thick and up to 1138 parts per million total rare earths oxide (TREO) within basement granitoids and adjacent clay zones in a five-hole drill campaign at project Viper. The longest intersection was 52m at 542ppm TREO.

Emu NL has enlarged its mineralised footprint in the heart of Esperance's rare earths region after rock chips returned results of up to 1242 parts per million total rare earth oxides (TREO) from its latest reconnaissance survey. Management says fieldwork from outcropping Booanya suite granites has revealed high-value magnet rare earth oxides averaging about 22 per cent of TREO grade from 28 rock-chip samples.

Shares in ASX-listed mineral explorer Emu surged 60 per cent during intraday trading after it lodged applications to extend its prospective Condingup project to an overall tenement area of 734 square kilometres. The company has also applied for another three new tenement packages in the broader area totalling a further 304 square kilometres. The latest land grab will substantially increase Emu's exposure to rare earths by capturing more of the prospective Booanya granites.

Mineral explorer EMU has secured the right to earn up to 80 per cent in a trio of exploration permits covering 850 square kilometres in Queensland's Georgetown mining district under a Heads of Agreement with TSXV-listed Rugby Resources. Whilst gold has been the traditional focus for the region the tenements are also prospective for base and battery metals including lithium, silver, lead, zinc, copper, tin and uranium.

Junior explorer Emu NL has plans underway for further RC drilling at its Flying Emu prospect at Badja gold project near Yalgoo in Western Australia after early positive results. The first hole targeted from Emu's stage three-drill program in April recorded a 9m hit at 3.44 g/t gold from 39m downhole, including 2m at 10.14 g/t.

Emu NL's Badja gold project has continued to produce quality hits in the shadow of the historic Gnows Nest mine. The junior explorer's assays from its stage three drilling program have outlined more high-grade gold from the north plunging ore shoot at the Gnows Nest ore body in addition to discovering a new, shallow broad gold zone at the Flying Emu prospect.

Junior explorer Emu NL has lit up a 10km structural corridor at its flagship Badja gold project due east of Geraldton in WA that it says is prospective for gold and tungsten. Results from a recent soil sampling program have etched out a string of high-priority targets along the corridor that are set to feel the impending bite of the drill bit.

Junior explorer Emu NL has received a double shot of good news with elevated tungsten values occurring in tandem with gold mineralisation in a recent drill campaign at its Monte Cristo prospect at the company's flagship Badja gold project near Yalgoo in WA. Significant tungsten values intersected include 12 metres grading 0.12 per cent tungsten from 58m containing an internal metre going a whopping 0.64 per cent tungsten.

After nailing its maiden gold drilling campaign at the Gnows Nest project near Yalgoo, Emu NL is opening up a second and third exploration front in WA with auger drilling now set to kick off in the South West and the Eastern Goldfields. A detailed auger campaign will drill test the company's Viper, Graceland and 8-Mile Dam projects in the coming weeks.

Emu NL has uncovered a treasure trove of gold mineralisation at its Gnows Nest project in WA, with the company's maiden drilling program delivering a haul of high-grade intercepts including 3 metres at a stunning 42.18 grams per tonne gold, including an even more impressive 1m at 89.57 g/t gold from 78m down-hole and 4m at 20.4 g/t gold from only 51m down-hole.

Emu NL has come home to roost, charging back onto the WA exploration scene with the acquisition of a transformational pipeline of projects in the south Yilgarn. The company's latest acquisitions cover a range of targets from the high-grade, shovel-ready Gnows Nest gold deposit through to the Julimar-like Sunfire nickel-copper target representing a veritable smorgasbord of projects set to deliver a torrent of news in the coming months.

Middle Island Resources has reported some solid assay results from an infill and extensional resource development drill program at its Wirraminna gold deposit near Sandstone in WA. Best results include 6m @ 6.62g/t from 84m down-hole and 14m @ 1.82g/t from 82m down-hole. The new results will be used to update the company's existing mineral resource estimate of 550,000 tonnes grading 1.32g/t gold for 23,000 ounces.
