Orla Latawski is a passionate advocate for youth representation, having been involved in a variety of community programs and initiatives designed to empower young Australians. She first became involved with the YMCA in 2017 as a participant of the Youth Parliament program and has since remained connected through the organising taskforce. She is the inaugural recipient of the Julia Gillard Women in Leadership scholarship, and a member of the John Curtin Scholarship program at Curtin University where she is completing a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism). Ms Latawski has been a member of the WA Ministerial Youth Advisory Council since its conception in 2017 and was previously a member of a local government equivalent. She has a strong interest in political affairs, and has been recognised with a number of national and local awards.
