Mauro Balzarini

Mauro Balzarini has been the chief executive of Wellard since 2004. He joined the family business in 1985 as a marine technical superintendent and progressively moved through to an executive role and took over the management of the shipping arm in 1994. Mr Balzarini bought out the family interest in 2004 and has grown Wellard into the largest marketer and exporter of live cattle in Australian and a significant seaborne livestock exporter globally. He is a member of the Trade and Investment Policy Advisory Council, chaired by the Minister for Trade and Investment. Mr Balzarini is a big fan of motorcycle racing has been involved in the sport for over 25 years. He is a professional Enduro rider in his twenties and still rides his Yamaha Enduro bike and completed his 5th ISDE in New Zealand in 2006. Mr Balzarini's victories include international races as well as Italian Championships. His passion for motorsports, and desire to renew his involvement in the 2012 ISDE, is what spurred him to support the Wellard Team USA.
