Mark Thompson

Mr Thompson has over 20 years experience in the mineral industry, and is the founder and Managing Director of ASX-listed Talga Resources. He has worked extensively on major resource projects throughout Australia, Africa and South America. He commenced his career with Western Mining Corporation at the Victory gold complex in WA before moving to the production team at the Sons of Gwalia open-pit mine at Leonora. He is a former Manager and Director of several private geological consultancies. Mr Thompson founded and served on the Board of ASX listed Catalyst Metals Ltd and is a Non-Executive Director of Phosphate Australia.Mr Thompson is a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists, the Society of Economic Geologists, and is Guest Professor in Mineral Exploration Technology at both the Chengdu University of Technology and the Southwest University of Science and Technology in China.
