Ex-military man Jonathan Huston bought Tint A Car for $18 million within three months of starting in the business. He then sold Tint A Car, and bought & sold Parkside Towbars and Croissant Express.
In August 1996, Mr Huston became the managing director of Intellek Consulting, the Australian market leader in the provision of modern slavery supply chain threat assessments, due diligence and risk mitigation project management. He has also been the managing director of Training Course Experts since November 2015, which provides training to the mining, construction and logistics industries and delivering safety training to entry level employees.
In January 2016, Mr Huston founded HardHat Foundation to provide a hard hat and hi-vis vest to any worker in Bali that was not safe at their workplace.
Mr Huston was elected to the Forty-Second Parliament for Nedlands, at the general election of 8 March 2025.
He served as Liberal Shadow Minister for Deregulation; Small Business; Public Sector Reform; and Veterans until he stepped down from the party in June 2026.
