Jodie Hanns has been the Labor Party Member of the Western Australia Legislative Assembly for Collie-Preston since 2021.
In the 2022 cabinet reshuffle, she became the Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier Mark McGowan. Following the resignation of Mr McGowan in June 2023, Ms Hanns became the Parliamentary Secretary to Stephen Dawson (Minister for Emergency Services, Innovation and the Digital Economy, Science, Medical Research, and the Minister assisting the Minister for State & Industry Development, Jobs and Trade) under the Cook government.
Prior to politics, Ms Hanns was the deputy principal of Collie Senior High School.
