Jenny Archibald

Jenny Archibald was mayor of Fremantle 1994 to 1997. With a degree in Geology, she has worked in various roles including palaeontology at the Western Australian Museum, in the petroleum industry, and later as a part-owner of three businesses in the mineral exploration and geothermal industry. Prior to her time as mayor, Ms Archibald had served on the Fremantle council since 1990. She rejoined the council in 2017. She has also held several other positions including as chair of the Rottnest Island Authority, chair of Spare Parts Puppet Theatre, inaugural chair of the Fremantle Prison Trust (following the de-commission of the Fremantle Prison) and deputy chair of Fremantle Press.
