Deborah Banning has 7 years of experience as chief executive; 9 years as a company director; and more than 20 years across the mining, banking, government and not-for-profit sectors. Prior to joining Scitech as chief executive in 2017, Mrs Banning was chief executive of the Cairns Chamber of Commerce for five years. She was also a sitting board member of Health Reimagined; Cairns Innovation Hub; The Defence Reserves Support Council; the International Association of Infant Massage Australia, and committee member for the Cairns Corporate Challenge. Mrs Banning left Scitech in June 2019 and is back as director of Business Agility, a consulting business she established with her husband. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Business; Diploma of Project Management; Diploma of Public Relations, Promotions & Publicity; and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
