Craig Whitehead

Craig Whitehead is a senior management executive with over 20 years of experience as a general manager or chief executive. He gained experience in the management of operations, HR, finance, marketing, fundraising, assets, negotiations, and risk. Mr Whitehead has significantly increased the scale and scope of businesses, improved revenue through the growth of old and new revenue streams, developed successful joint venture partnerships, considerably strengthened the balance sheet, and raised the profile and public standing of the organisations. Since 2008, he has been chief executive of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO) which is one of Australia's largest and most successful arts company with a turnover of approximately $22 million, 120 employees, and a schedule of over 200 performances each year to a live audience in excess of 200,000. A further 1.5M people each year listen to WASO via radio and TV broadcasts, and over the internet through the company's digital streaming program. In July Mr Whitehead announced he will step down as WASO CEO in November 2018.
