Andrew Malcolm

Andrew Malcolm has over 15 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, including 5 years as a process engineer with BP, and holds a Bachelors of Engineering from Curtin University and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Queensland. He joined Austal in 2015 as vice president of strategy and commercial development before becoming chief digital officer in July 2020. Prior to Austal, he was an associate principal of McKinsey & Company where, based out of McKinsey’s London and Singapore offices, he gained extensive experience in corporate strategy, capital projects and operational transformations, working for private sector companies and national governments in more than a dozen countries throughout Asia, Europe and North America. In 2013, Mr Malcolm returned to Western Australia to establish a new McKinsey office in Perth.
