Augustus Minerals has hit wide gold intersections in first-pass drilling at its Music Well project near Leonora, WA, returning shallow hits including 16m at 1.46g/t gold. The maiden program targeted a compelling gold-in-soil and rock chip anomaly at its Clifton East prospect, which had previously remained untouched despite sitting in one of the state's richest gold districts.

Augustus Minerals has received drilling approval in WA after a heritage survey was completed with the Watarra Aboriginal Corporation Native Title Body on behalf of the Darlot People. The key permit has satisfied all prerequisite statutory requirements and clears the path for the company's maiden drilling campaign at the company's Music Well gold project.

Myanmar Metals has commenced a 15,000 metre resource development drilling campaign at its Bawdwin polymetallic mine in central Myanmar. The program is expected to grow the project's mineral resource estimates and define a large ore reserve, underpinning a feasibility study due for release in late 2019. The drilling will also allow a more thorough evaluation of the mine's copper-cobalt-nickel potential and help delineate extensions of the existing lodes.
