Alfred Chong is the chief executive and founder of Nanoveu. He began his professional career in a garage with just 2 employees and US$1,000 of borrowed capital where he built a system integration company which was eventually acquired by CompuCom System. After the acquisition, Mr Chong went on to build and grow CompuCom’s Services Division in the US, turning it into a US$1 billion business. He moved back to Asia in 1997 and helped several American companies including Powercell, Capstone & Bowman expand into Asia. Mr Chong was also Asia Pacific chief executive of Atex Media Command, a global leader provider of solutions and services to the media industry; chief executive of THISS Technologies, a satellite communications company; chief executive of 121View, a digital signage company; and chief marketing officer at 3D International before founding Nanoveu. The Singapore American Business Association in the US named Mr Chong Entrepreneur of the Year, and the San Francisco Chronicle named him as one of the 20 foreign-born high technology “visionaries” who have helped to make the San Francisco Bay Area the world’s technology centre. Mr Chong received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and his Masters in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco.
