Alan Bye

Dr Alan Bye was the vice president of technology at BHP Billiton for over 4 years. Along with his global team, Dr Bye was accountable for the technology strategy and the execution of technology development programs across the company. This included responsibility for strategic partnerships, emerging technology, innovation hubs, enterprise architecture, technology capability, technology improvement and intellectual property management. Dr Bye worked closely with BHP Billiton stakeholders including technology companies, R&D centres and universities, and focuses on advancing the technology interests of BHP Billiton globally.
