Commencing operations in 1984 primarily as a specialist underground civil contractor, Wormall Civil has achieved continual growth over the ensuing years by seeking to work in close partnership with its valued clients and key stakeholders. The company plans a number of events to celebrate the milestone of 30 years of operations in 2014. Wormall Contracting was the foundation company of Wormall Civil as it is known nowadays. The company continues to provide a quality civil engineering construction service to all of its valued clients, undertaking small, medium and large scale land development construction projects as Main Contractor for in excess of ten years. An accelerated period of growth since 2001 has seen the company expand its construction fleet, and increase its staff levels, as well as enhance its broad range of capabilities and competencies in the provision of both underground and above ground civil infrastructure. The company has earned a reputation for its commitment to rigorous quality control and innovation, and the professionalism, responsiveness and integrity of its employees, whilst maintaining the personal touch often unique to family owned and operated businesses. Commitment to innovative technology in civil engineering construction has also resulted in the development of a range of user-friendly and environmentally friendly water, wastewater and stormwater products. These products have been developed using Wormall Civil's hands on experience on a broad range of civil engineering construction projects. With an annual turnover in excess of $100,000,000 Wormall Civil today employs approximately 250 people, with its head office based in Maddington, Western Australia. Most of the company's contracts are undertaken in the greater Perth metropolitan area, whilst also stretching to Mandurah/Pinjarra in the south, Northam in the east and Yanchep in the north. The company is also capable of undertaking projects anywhere in Western Australia as demonstrated by the successful completion of a number of mining related projects (workers accommodation camps and subdivisions) in the Pilbara. A recent example being the stand out project, Madigan Road Residential Estate of 145 lots in Karratha for LandCorp, Wormall Civil’s first Tier 1 project for the WA State Government’s land development agency. For many years the company has also focused on areas of development on the northern coastal strip outside the greater Perth metropolitan area. Wormall Civil has won an increasing number of civil engineering construction contracts in the rapidly growing coastal corridor between Perth and Geraldton. Projects have been undertaken in Cervantes, Jurien, Green Head and Leeman, as well as in Dongara, Geraldton, Northampton and surrounding districts.
