Formerly known as Mercy Hospital Mount Lawley, the medical facility was purchased by St John of God Health Care in May 2014 from MercyCare, continuing the tradition of Catholic healthcare on the site, which dates back to the 1930s.
The hospital was founded in 1937 by the Sisters of Mercy, renowned throughout the world as healthcare providers. First known as St Anne’s Maternity Hospital, the name was changed to Mercy Hospital Mt Lawley in 1996 and became St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital in March 2014.
