Biography

The Department of Culture and the Arts (DCA) guides the delivery of culture and arts for Western Australia through the provision of policy development, coordination and support services to the Culture and Arts portfolio. DCA also supports the culture and the arts sector. On 1 July 2017, the Department of Culture and the Arts amalgamated with the Department of Sport and Recreation, Department of Racing, Gaming and Liquor, the Office of Multicultural Interests, local government functions of the Department of Local Government and Communities, and the Aboriginal History Unit of the Department of Aboriginal Affairs to establish the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.
