CR Cox

CR Cox is a Fremantle-based marine surveying and inspection company. The company was established in 1950 to service ships calling to the shores of Western Australia. It has developed an extensive network globally continuing steady growth in domestic and international markets. Until recently, CR Cox was the largest independent marine surveying and inspection company in Australia, with branches and permanent operations in South Australia, New South Wales and Queensland.

CR Cox was bought by Inspectorate in 2008. Subsequently, Inspectorate was bought by Bureau Veritas in 2011. In 2012 Cox was sold privately. In 2017 the company was acquired by New York-based AmSpec Group.
