Local companies have shared in $35.6 million worth of construction and building contracts for work around the state, including the Perth-based civil and mining division of Watpac Group, which has won a $7.1 million contract for road upgrades at Kalbarri National Park.
Six construction companies including EMCO Building, Badge Construction and Pindan have secured a combined $102 million worth of work from the state government.
Work has started on the $21.4 million Port Coogee shopping centre, with national development group Australand signing Adco Constructions to carry out the build.
