Labor heavyweight Picton dies
Mineral Resources executive and former WA Labor secretary Tim Picton has died, following an alleged assault in Northbridge on December 27.
Mr Picton, who was 36 years old, had been in an induced coma in Royal Perth Hospital since the incident late last month.
The Picton family issued a statement through Mineral Resources this morning, confirming the news.
“We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Tim, who passed away earlier today surrounded by his family,” it read.
