TIRED structural engineer Peter Bruechle has received the Master Builders Association’s top honour, the annual Robert Law Award.
After developing his own practice in the 1960s, Mr Bruechle helped establish engineering firm Bruechle Gilchrist and Evans in the 1970s with fellow engineers Norm Gilchrist and Ernie Evans
Trading now as BG&E, the firm is well known in construction and building circles, with offices throughout Australia and the Middle East.
Before his retirement, Mr Breuchle was involved in many award-winning landmark projects in Perth, including the Exchange Plaza, the Forrest Place/City Station redevelopment, the WACA’s light towers, Alcoa’s Wagerup Administration facility and Central Park.
Master Builders director Michael McLean said Mr Bruechle had a reputation as one of Australia’s foremost structural engineers that deserved top recognition not only within his profession but also the broader building industry.
