Australian Infrastructure Fund, which holds a 29.7 per cent interest in the airport, announced today that total passenger numbers rose 7.9 per cent to 870,164 compared to the same period last year.
Of that, passengers travelling on domestic flights rose by 9.1 per cent to 642,778 while international travelers climbed 4.8 per cent to 227,386.
"In a challenging global market, Perth Airport has proved to be a strong performing asset with sound growth potential," AIF chief executive Jeff Pollock said.
Perth Airport represents 27.8 per cent of AIF's portfolio.
