The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations) is a not-for-profit aerial medical service operating in Western Australia. The organisation has a fleet of 11 medically dedicated emergency aircraft and also uses charter aircraft for specific retrieval flights and most clinic flights. Patients may be evacuated over distances in excess of 2,000 kilometres and most clinics are more than 200kms from the RFDS bases.
