A Messages On Hold announcement is pasted below:
Perth business, Messages On Hold, purchased another eastern states competitor today as part of its aggressive expansion strategy.
The Brisbane-based Message Power International Pty Ltd was bought by Messages On Hold, the largest company within The Message Group. Like Messages On Hold, Message Power International provides promotional audio messages mixed with music, for customers waiting on hold.
Messages On Hold is the number 1 provider of On Hold messaging in the Asia-Pacific region. Its Managing Director, Kym Illman, sees no disadvantages in purchasing a client base thousands of kilometres away from his WA head office.
"Messages On Hold is delighted with the purchase," explains Illman. "We already see 80% of our business coming from the east, but this further cements our presence in the region."
"With so much of the market untapped in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, we're always keen on winning new business over there. Advances in technology, particularly broadband, allow us to be based on the other side of the country with no operational handicaps."
Former Message Power International Director, Rod McLeod, is also happy with the development.
"Messages On Hold's infrastructure has been designed to offer client's the same level of service whether they're located in Bunbury or Ballarat. In terms of response times and service, I'm pleased to say that Message Power clients won't even notice the change of ownership."
Messages On Hold has several other takeovers also underway, both within Australia and overseas. Pursing this aggressive growth strategy, the company looks to increase revenue by 25% by 2008/2009.
Messages On Hold Australia Pty Ltd is responsible for the recorded promotional messages heard on hold at more than 11,000 businesses around Asia Pacific. See www.messagesonhold.com.au for details.
