DTI awarded another Ireland job

Local technology company DTI Group has picked up its second contract for work in Ireland this month, announcing today it will provide its services to a European manufacturer which is building buses for use in Dublin.

DTI will supply its digital surveillance system and cameras to 80 double deck vehicles which Wrightbus is building for the City of Dublin.

The value of the contract was not disclosed.

“This order once again further builds on DTI’s growing strength in Europe and around the world for providing advanced surveillance and information technology solutions and services in the mass transit market,” DTI managing director Richard Johnson said.

“Dublin now becomes another city that DTI has solutions operating across rail and bus networks, joining the likes of Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Philadelphia and San Francisco.”

It follows news earlier this month that DTI had been awarded a contract to provide its surveillance systems to an Irish rail car operator, also for an undisclosed sum.

DTI shares were 6.2 per cent higher to 25.5 cents each at the close of trade.
