Finland focused base metals explorer Vulcan Resources has announced that it has secured a major vanadium deposit and further vanadium prospects in Finland.
Perth headquartered Vulcan has leveraged off its experience in Finland to source these new opportunities that cover 213 square kilometers in northern and central parts of the country.
Past production results, and geophysical and geological data provide evidence of the potential for large deposits in the company's tenements, and the deposit styles uncovered are similar to those in South Africa and Western Australia - at Balla Balla in the Pilbara and Windimurra near Mount Magnet.
Vanadium is used primarily in the production of steel and alloy to provide added strength and malleability.
