Atlantic suspends shares after fire

Vanadium and iron ore miner Atlantic has suspended its shares from trading on the ASX following a fire at its Windimurra operation which it says has caused "comprehensive material damage".

The fire occurred on Tuesday in the project's beneficiation plant and was not extinguished until approximately 4 hours later.

It was contained within the plant and no personnel were injured.

The company says further investigations are still ongoing to assess the damage precisely and the damage will be covered by insurance.

Atlantic’s trading suspension will remain in place until it is able to announce the detailed impact of the fire.
