Fong heads Peel Health
Neale Fong has been appointed as managing director of Health Solutions (WA), the private operator of the Peel Health Campus in Mandurah. Dr Fong joined the company’s board in June as a non-executive director after six months in an advisory role. He is currently also director of the Curtin University Health Innovation Research Institute. Peel Health’s chief operating officer Ashton Foley resigned last week after only six months in the role, which she had taken over from WA Business News 40under40 award winner Angela Whittington, who herself spent less than a year in the position before leaving to join Programmed Property Services as general manager WA in February this year.
Voelte joins Nexus Energy
Seven West chief executive and former Woodside boss Don Voelte has joined the board of oil and gas explorer Nexus Energy. The appointment of Mr Voelte as non-executive chairman is part of a board restructure at Nexus, which owns prospective projects in the Gippsland Basin off the coast of Victoria and the Browse basin off the coast of Western Australia. Four Nexus directors have stood down as the company focuses on new strategies to realise the value of its assets. Mr Voelte was appointed as chief executive of Seven West in June, and was managing director of Woodside Petroleum from 2004 to 2011. Nexus’ chief executive Lucio Della Martina is also a former senior Woodside director.
