ANDREW Whitehouse joined the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research in February 2009, quickly building a world-leading team of 13 researchers who investigate the causes of, and treatments for, a number of crippling disorders.
As the youngest member of the research team, Professor Whitehouse was recognised for his efforts by being elected to the institute’s Senior Management Committee.
Professor Whitehouse’s research has been profiled in TIME, the New York Times, The Economist, The Australian, as well as on BBC, CNN and a number of Australian channels.
He writes regular columns on child development and actively delivers presentations to community stakeholders promoting healthy child development.
Before his influential work in Australia, Professor Whitehouse was a Scott Family fellow with the University of Oxford for two years.
