Lawrence joins Amana Living board
Robyn Lawrence has been appointed to the board of not-for-profit aged care business Amana Living. Dr Lawrence is executive director of Sir Charles Gairdner and Osborne Park hospitals, and was previously executive director of innovation and health system reform at the WA Department of Health. She has also previously served as director of clinical services at Royal Perth hospital and the inaugural executive director of the Child and Adolescent Health Service.
Goodridge chairs Lifeline WA
Brett Goodridge has been elected as the new chair of Lifeline WA. Mr Goodridge is the chief executive officer of Allion Legal and has been deputy chairman of Lifeline WA since 2010. He replaces outgoing chair Peter Mott, who is chief executive of St John of God Murdoch hospital.
Dawson chief at RISC
Independent advisory firm RISC has appointed Peter Dawson as chief executive officer, to replace Will Pulsford. Mr Dawson has a background in operations management and corporate advisory. Outgoing chief Mr Pulsford is an equity partner in the company and will resume his role leading client engagements with a focus on LNG developments and clients in North Asia.
Sharma chairs Murdoch food research
Murdoch University has appointed Shashi Sharma as chair of biosecurity and food security, to look at producing food for a growing world population in an environmentally sustainable manner. Professor Sharma is a former director, plant biosecurity at the WA Department of Agriculture and Food, and ex-head of the Division of Nematology at the Indian Agriculture Research Institute.
Horton joins Squire Sanders
Richard Horton has joined law firm Squire Sanders as corporate and technology partner. Mr Horton was previously a partner in the Silicon Valley office of DLA Piper. He is a dual-qualified US and Australian attorney, having been based initially in Australia and then for the past 13 years in Silicon Valley.
New Allion Legal senior associates
Allion Legal has appointed Payal Mahindroo as a senior associate with the resources team, Michael Jools as a senior associate in the corporate team, Denise McLaughlin as an associate in Allion’s construction team, and Billy Greensides as an associate in the workplace relations and safety team. Laing’s Noble promotion
Ghanaian gold explorer Noble Mineral Resources has promoted principal mining engineer Mark Laing to chief operating officer. Mr Laing has been with the company for 18 months, and has previously worked for OM Holdings, Minara, Thiess, Aurora Gold, St Barbara and Dominion. Chief financial officer Erik Palmbachs has been appointed as joint company secretary (with external consultant Anthony Ho).

Eames Architects has appointed Gavin Allaway to join managing director Edwin Eames and Andrew Morris on its board of directors. Mr Allaway joined the practice in 2010 after migrating from South Africa.
