Nomad Building Solutions has appointed former Austal chief financial officer Peter Hogan as its managing director.
Mr Hogan joins Nomad from New York Stock Exchange-listed Valmont Industries, where he served as managing director for Valmont Australia’s industrial coating business.
Prior to working at Austal, Mr Hogan spent seven years as the WA general manager at building materials group Boral.
Meanwhile, De Grey Mining has announced Peter Batten will take over from Darren Townsend as executive chairman.
Mr Batten has more than 30 years experience in mining and minerals exploration, including as managing director of Bannerman Resources from its early stage through to listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
“The ability of De Grey to attract someone of Peter’s calibre is testament to the quality of De Grey’s projects,” Mr Townsend said.
“We look forward to Peter’s stewardship and are confident he can successfully drive the company’s exciting Argentinian projects forward.”
By close of trade today, Nomad stocks had gained 2.3 per cent, at 8.7 cents, while De Grey shares were down 8.3 per cent at 1.1 cents.
