NRW Holdings has been awarded a $99 million contract for the construction of access roads for Chevron’s Wheatstone liquefied natural gas project.
NRW announced today it had entered an agreement with the Wheatstone project's lead engineering contractor Bechtel for the construction of the access roads, which will commence in March.
The Wheatstone project, located near Onslow, is a joint venture between Chevron, US-based Apache Energy and Kuwait’s Kufpec.
The project will initially consist of two LNG trains with a combined 8.9 million tonne capacity and a domestic gas plant.
At 12:30PM (WST) NRW shares had gained 2.5 per cent to trade at $2.46.
