ASPEN Parks Property Fund has signed a joint venture with BHP Billiton to provide cabin accommodation in its Cooke Point Holiday Park in Port Hedland.
Commencing immediately, the contract is expected to generate $600,000 over 18 months.
Aspen will provide park home accommodation for personnel working for BHP Billiton Iron Ore Rapid Growth Project 2.
Aspen Group managing director Angelo Del Borrello said the contract was indicative of the opportunities identified by the group when establishing the fund in early 2004.
“We identified the enormous potential for our parks in Port Hedland and Karratha to tap into the resource boom currently under way in Western Australia and in particular the Pilbara region.”
