PERTH law firms Steinepreis Paganin and Blakiston & Crabb have topped a national survey of Initial Public Offerings for the second year running.
Steinepreis Paganin worked on 18 floats that raised $92 million last year, according to the annual survey by Melbourne consulting group Connect 4.
Blakiston & Crabb was second in the survey, working on 12 floats that raised a total of $68 million.
The Connect 4 survey highlighted the buoyant state of the IPO market, with 183 companies applying to list on the Australian Stock Exchange, an increase of 75 per cent on the previous year.
Some of the floats Steinepreis Paganin worked on include Po Valley, which raised $20 million to develop a gas project in Italy, TFS Corporation, which raised $7 million for its sandalwood projects in the Kimberley, and Essa Australia, which produces sampling equipment for the mining industry.
In terms of dollars raised, Freehills was the leading law firm, working on nine floats that raised $3.3 billion.
Among the accounting firms, Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG dominated the Connect 4 survey.
