THE City of Nedlands, a council once better known for its fiery meetings, has been recognised as the leading local government in Western Australia at the Local Government Best Practise Awards, winning the Leadership Award.
Other winners of the Whole of Organisation Awards, which recognise those councils that achieve best practise levels in the delivery of services to their customers across the whole of their organisation were:
City of Gosnells;
City of Joondalup;
City of Rockingham;
City of Swan; and
Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale.
Other award categories included Town of Claremont – Customer Service Awards; Town of Claremont – Effective Communication Awards; and City of Rockingham – Innovation Awards.
