Asia-focused social entertainment platform migme has announced a partnership with Universal Music Indonesia; following migme’s August backdoor listing to the ASX in a reverse takeover of Latin Gold.
migme chief executive officer Steven Goh said Indonesia was a valuable market for the company and the UMI partnership was part of an overall strategy to build its user base in the country.
The company focuses on emerging markets and has 5 million monthly active users to the platform, which was launched in 2006 (then called mig33).
The UMI marketing and promotional partnership follows migme’s deal with Indonesian telecommunication and retail distribution providers to pre-install the migme platform on all provider partnered smartphones destined for Indonesia.
Mr Goh founded Australia’s first online stockbroking company Sanford Securities in Perth in 1996, before selling to IWL in 2003.
