iiNet seeks 2009 launch for IPTV

Perth-based internet service provider iiNet says it is looking to launch internet protocol television next year as it secures 200,000 customers to its ADSL+ national broadband network.

Announcing the milestone at iiNet's annual general meeting, managing director Michael Malone said it was a clear demonstration of iiNet's success, innovation and investment commitment.

"We are continuing to see strong growth in our products, particularly Naked DSL which is providing customers with broadband speeds of up to 24Mpbs without the added costs of a fixed phone line," Mr Malone said.
