In 1998, 546 people attended. To date, 456 people have participated this year.SBDC managing director George Etrelezis said the number of people considering self-employment was increasing.
Between 1997 to 1998, the number of small businesses in WA rose by 8.5 per cent, according to latest Australian Bureau of Statistics figures, bringing the total to almost 105,000.
Workshop topics include How to Start a Business, How to Buy a Business, Introduction to Franchising, Introduction to Business Planning, Feasibility of Your Business Idea, and Introduction to the Internet and E-Commerce.
