WOOLLEY & Associates principal William Woolley has been found guilty of breaches of the Code of Conduct for Agents and Sales Representatives.
The board has disqualified Mr Woolley for life from holding a real estate agent’s licence or a real estate sales representative’s certificate. Mr Woolley has until 31 August to wind down or sell his business.
Between 1994 and 1996, Mr Woolley was involved as a developer, real estate agent and a settlement agent in the sale of land in the Mandurah Marina development.
Prior to granting town planning approval, the City of Mandurah required a memorial to be placed in each title of land to advise owners that the land was on estuarine soil and footings and building structures needed to be designed in accordance with relevant Australian standards.
Mr Woolley and his company, acting as the real estate agent, failed to advise purchasers of this memorial and continued to conceal the memorial while acting as the settlement agent.
