Wolf Minerals will be in a position to break ground at its Hemerdon tungsten and tin mine in the UK next year after selecting Bardon Contracting to build a link road at the site.
The Perth-based specialty mineral exploration and development company said today the public road would follow the specifications of the main mine permit, and was intended to benefit other local extractive operations and create a long term piece of infrastructure.
Bardon, an Aggregate Industries UK business, is expected to start work on the project in January and complete the link road in June.
Wolf said it is focused developing the Hemerdon project into a large scale, long life, open pit mining operation.
Wolf managing director Humphrey Hale said the company had selected a highly skilled contractor to begin the first part of the construction schedule for the Hemerdon tungsten and tin mine.
Shares in Wolf were up 1 cent to 24 cents today at 11.26am WST.
