WA’s population grows just 0.7%

Growth in Western Australia’s population has continued near historically low levels, with almost 1,000 people per month leaving WA to live in other states, primarily Victoria.

0.32% percent growth for the March 2017 quarter is on track for 1.2% annually. As a leading indicator, we aren't seeing the exodus over east out of our rental department that we saw 12-24 months ago. It's quite a moderate outflow and some coming in. Slow road to recovery but the large population losses seem to be over
