A division of health information technology company IBA Health Group has signed a long-term contract with the state's Department of Health in a deal worth up to $14 million.
Sydney-based IBA said its iSOFT health division will streamline pharmacy services at 21 public hospitals in WA in a contract that could last up to 10 years.
"The iPharmacy solution will provide consistency in managing medications and offers clinical decision support to assist with the prevention of medication errors at the point of dispensing," IBA said in a statement,
iPharmacy will assest WA Health in implementing a series of pharmaceutical reforms, including online PBS processing.
iPharmacy is already installed at 250 sites throughout the country.
