The Board of Decmil Group Limited (ASX: DCG) ("Decmil Group" or "the Company") today announced the appointment of Mr Lee Verios and Mr Scott Criddle as Directors of the Company. Mr Verios will join the Board as an independent non-executive Director. Mr Criddle will join the board as Managing Director. The appointments are with immediate effect and remain subject to shareholder approval at the Company's AGM.
Decmil Group Chairman Mr Denis Criddle said "these appointments provide additional expertise to the Board and increase the total number of Directors to seven, of which a majority is independent."
"Mr Verios' broad commercial experience and his expertise as a company director provide additional depth to the Board's existing competencies," Mr Criddle said
Mr Verios is a commercial lawyer who has practiced in Perth for more than 30 years, especially in the commercial property field. He is a partner in the international law firm Norton Rose.
He is an experienced company director and currently serves as Chairman of ASX listed property development company Port Bouvard Limited and of the Wyllie Group Pty Ltd, a significant private family investment group. He is also a Director of the Kailis Organic Olive Group of Companies.
Mr Verios holds membership of the AICD, the Law Society of WA and the Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He is a past Chairman of the Australian Indonesian Business Council.
Mr Scott Criddle assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of Decmil Group in July 2009 and has overseen the robust growth and financial performance of the Company since that time. Mr Criddle joined the Company's wholly owned subsidiary Decmil Australia in 1993 serving in a number of roles culminating in his appointment as Managing Director in 2002. In his role as Managing Director, Mr Criddle was responsible for the long-term growth and strategic direction of Decmil Australia, playing a pivotal role in building relationships with key stakeholders and clients.
Mr Criddle holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Construction Management and Economics from Curtin University and is a member of AICD.
