Organisational values will be of paramount importance in the new millennium, says Modal (Measurable Organisational Development and Learning) managing director Neil McGrechan.
Mr McGrechan said the three most important areas of human resource management in the future will be change management, leadership development and managing performance.
Integrating organisational values into these areas, he adds, is the key to capturing the hearts and minds of people.
“Successful, forward-thinking organisations use human resources as a strategic competitive advantage,” Mr McGrechan said.
“The cost of employee turnover is high and the challenge for HRM professionals is to find, retain and align high performing people to the company vision and goals.
To achieve this, the organisation invests in organisational development and learning and enjoys a result on the bottom line through proven return on investment.”
Modal won the 1998 Australian Human Resources Institute national award for Excellence in Human Resources.
The company is currently seeking accreditation as a Quality Endorsed Training Organisation.
