Melbourne-based business UXC has been selected to provide a lifestyle and entertainment system for workers on Chevron Australia's Gorgon gas project.
UXC's voice and data unit, Integ Group, will outfit more than 3000 rooms and common areas for workers building the LNG production facility on Barrow Island.
Integ's Entertainment Solution will include video-on-demand, television, video gaming, internet, radio and an outdoor movie theatre delivered on an IP network.
"Integ has emerged as the leader in providing lifestyle entertainment solutions to the Mining and Oil and Gas sectors, now supporting more than 8,000 rooms in Western Australia and Queensland," the company said in a statement.
"The scope for further growth in this sector is substantial, as is the opportunity to continue to grow market share."
"We're very happy to be part of this project," said UXC executive chairman Geoff Lord.
"This is a growth area for Integ, and we are excited about delivering this level of innovation to one of the largest, most sophisticated remote work sites in the world," he said.
"We are pleased to have the opportunity to support real changes in the way that the work based as remote sites are engaging with their families and communities at home."
