A new online television website will showcase footage of Western Australia's key destinations and events to the world.
Tourism Minister Sheila McHale said the new website, WATV, was the first of its kind for any Australian tourism government agency.
"Put simply, this is television on the internet where viewers can select what they want to watch and when," Ms McHale said.
"WATV features video footage of WA-based events and showcases our key destinations and experiences using stunning new footage.
"This initiative, which will be viewed by millions around the globe, ensures we remain at the forefront of marketing WA online."
Ms McHale said WATV would include footage of some of WA's major events including the Drug Aware Pro Margaret River, Clipper Round the World Yacht Race and the Red Bull Air Race, which returns to Perth for the second time this November.
"The site also features clips of Perth and Margaret River from popular travel source Lonely Planet, as well as interviews by Michael Peschardt, one of the BBC's leading foreign correspondents," Ms McHale said.
"As well as showcasing beautiful images of WA, Michael Peschardt meets actress and singer Toni Collette in Fremantle, comedian Ben Elton in Perth, as well as cricketers Dennis Lillee and Geoff Thompson."
WATV, developed by Soap Creative for Tourism Western Australia, takes the lead from other successful travel sites including LonelyPlanet TV and Discovery Channel.
The site also complements the State Government's online tourism marketing efforts, which include a new-look consumer website and acorporate website.
