Torian Resources has racked up additional significant gold intercepts that extend the resource boundaries at the company’s flagship Mt Stirling project around 40km from Leonora in WA.
Equally encouraging, it is just 8km from Red 5’s King Of The Hills goldmine that has produced over one million ounces.
Significant drill results from the MS Viserion gold system, part of the Mt Stirling project, include 33m grading 1.78 grams per tonne gold from 196m downhole and 5m at 8.52 g/t gold with an internal 2m section going 16.19 g/t gold from 235m downhole.
The company has now ploughed through 16,792m of infill and extension RC drilling at MS Viserion and delineated mineralisation along a 1.2km strike length and to a 250m depth.
Recent gold hits will be added to a total resource estimate pencilled in for an April delivery across the Mt Stirling project, that currently houses a JORC compliant 118,400 ounces of gold.
A series of high-grade gold results that just missed the cut-off date for the May 2021 resource update are also set to make an appearance. The high-grade results will be included with the plethora of others produced during the recent drilling bombardment at Mt Stirling.
Once the resource update is done and dusted, Torian plans to undertake a project optimisation study. Minecomp has the contract where it will assess the economics of the Mt Stirling-Viserion gold system.
Mt Stirling is situated in a goldmining hub, with approximately 14 million ounces pulled from the ground through major mines such as Sons of Gwalia, Thunderbox, Harbour Lights, Tower Hills and Gwalia in the surrounding region.

Two RC rigs are now conducting another 21 holes for a further 3481m of extensional drilling at MS Viserion.
With a bundle of results that just missed the deadline for the previous estimate to be added to the mix, along with more new results – excitement is building in Torian’s locker rooms before the big resource estimate reveal.
